Merseyside Police have given an update after a woman on an electric scooter and an Audi crashed on a busy road.
Merseyside Police were called to Liverpool Road, at the junction of Lyme Cross Road at around 3.40pm on Wednesday, December 21, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a woman in her 50s, who was on an electric scooter, had been in a crash with an Audi.
In a previous statement police said a mobility scooter was involved, they have since clarified this was an electric scooter. The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The North West Ambulance Service were seen attending the incident by an eyewitness. Police have now given an update to say the woman suffered slight injuries in the crash.
Liverpool Road and surrounding roads were closed while emergency services attend the incident. Police asked drivers to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
