UP: Vigilance to lodge FIR against IPS officer Manilal Patidar

LUCKNOW: The state government has granted nod to the Vigilance Establishment for lodging an FIR against the suspended IPS officer Manilal Patidar who is absconding since November 15, 2020, after being booked for ‘abetment to suicide’ of a businessman in Mahoba.

CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered a vigilance probe against Patidar in December 2020 after he went absconding.

Sources in the home department said the vigilance investigations have revealed that Patidar did postings of station house officers and station officers in exchange of money and is even said to have set aside the directions of the DGP Headquarters regarding the posting of police station in-charges.
