Londoners face shocking 25-year wait for council homes as capital's housing crisis deepens

London’s housing crisis has been laid bare as figures show that families will have to wait up to 25 years for a social home in some parts of the city.

More than 335,000 Londoners sit on housing waiting lists - the highest number of any English region - but face an average 6.6 years for a social property.
