Sports Illustrated and SI All-American unveiled its Postseason SI99 -- the top high school football seniors from across the nation in the class of 2022 -- on Tuesday.
SI ranks Travis Hunter, a two-way star out of Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill High School, as the No. 1 wide receiver and player in the nation. He committed to Jackson State on Signing Day. Ranked second is the nation's top quarterback in Austin (Texas) Westlake Cade Klubnik, who is already on campus at Clemson. The nation's top undecided recruit, south Florida-area pass rusher Shemar Stewart, Missouri wide receiver signee Luther Burden and Texas A&M interior defensive line signee Walter Nolen rounds out the top five.
Hunter is the second-straight SI99 No. 1 recruit to hold the title from the preseason ranking to the postseason, and final call. Quarterback Caleb Williams went wire to wire in the class of 2021. Originally from south Florida, Hunter played high school football in the Atlanta area. Prospects are listed where they attended high school during the 2021 season.
