Unseen moment Holm refuses to lift trophy in Celtic celebrations

Celtic players and supporters were in a party mood as they lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy.

The Parkhead club were already champions after their thumping win over Kilmarnock in midweek but celebrations truly kicked into gear in the final league match against St Mirren.

While Stephen Robinson's men threatened to play spoiler, Celtic claimed a late 3-2 win to close out their season in style before being crowned champions.

Callum McGregor and Joe Hart lifted the league trophy - which was delivered by Santa - at Parkhead but one Celtic player appeared to refuse the chance to hoist the silverware.

In Sky Sports coverage of the celebrations, bit-part player Odin Thiago Holm appeared to knock back his turn to lift the trophy at Celtic Park.

Footage showed Nico Kuhn celebrate the league triumph then go to pass the trophy to a team-mate for their moment with the silverware but Holm looked to shake his head and walk away.

Kuhn then passed the trophy to Cameron Carter-Vickers who continued the celebrations.

Holm had been smiling and applauding his team-mates while on the platform at Celtic Park but it's unclear why he opted against lifting the trophy himself.

Holm arrived at Celtic in the summer from Valerenga and had featured fairly regularly in the opening stages of the season.

However, his game time significantly reduced in the mid-to latter stages of the season leaving his total minutes played at 409 this season.

Holm played nine times for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership - meaning he was awarded a medal - and played a handful of matches in the Champions League and domestic cup competitions.

His last appearance for the club came as a sub in the 3-1 win over St Johnstone on March 26.

He wasn't included in the matchday squad at all in the post-split matches for Celtic.
