The Traitors star Amanda believes her 'grandma' qualities kept her in the BBC show - until traitor Wilf dealt the ultimate betrayal.
In shock scenes on the BBC One show yesterday, Amanda was banished by the group after her fellow traitor Will turned on her. Many thought she might win the show, but her time was cut short on the programme yesterday when she was voted out.
Amanda had been playing a great game but she slipped up when she picked Theo as the one she trusted most, before voting him out the next day. She believes it's her friendly and grandmother persona that kept her in so long.
Speaking to Ranvir Singh on Lorraine, Amanda - who has five kids and five grandkids - said: "In the beginning, it was much easier because we hadn't formed alliances or relationships with people so it was just the strongest characters we had to eliminate.
"People would gravitate to them. We had to control the game so we didn't want the strong characters' opinions to go through on the other contestants when we were around the roundtable," she said. It was herd mentality. With herd mentality, everyone was so scared as they wanted to stay in the game that they went and followed everyone."
She added: "We all wear a mask ... we all have bad days. But you get up, put your uniform on, go to work and play the role."
Amanda admits it was hard playing a faithful all day - but even harder as friendships formed.
"The smaller the group gets, the closer your relationships get. Being a traitor, you're playing a Faithful all day. They really believe in you, connect with you, and don't want you to be that person who's betraying them, murdering them," she added.
Last night, with the help of some strategic manoeuvring from Wilfred, the group unveiled Amanda as a Traitor.
"I knew my time was up. Obviously, the Theo thing that I slipped up with. You know it’s gutting to go out so near to the end ‘cos I've been through all the emotions and watching all the emotions of every other person in there," Amanda said privately.
She was emotional as she confirmed to the group she was in fact a Traitor.
"I’m getting emotional now and I don’t cry. It’s been amazing. I’ll take lots away from you all and we will meet up again. You’ve all been absolutely brilliant, and I'll take a lot back to Wales with me. I am a Traitor, guys," she shared with many of them stunned.
