A tragic incident occurred in New Orleans on Wednesday, resulting in the loss of at least 15 lives, including a student from the University of Alabama. The university confirmed the devastating news, expressing their condolences and sorrow for the victim, Kareem Badawi.

University President Stuart R. Bell took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking news, stating, 'I learned today that Kareem Badawi, one of our students at The University of Alabama, was killed in the terrorist attack in New Orleans. I grieve alongside family and friends of Kareem in their heartbreaking loss.'
