The Unistellar Odyssey is the definitive smart telescope in many ways and is a strong contender for anyone searching for the best telescope on the market. Crucially, it has no eyepiece, which makes it completely different from the kinds of optical telescopes most of us have used to look at objects in the night sky at some point, positioning it as one of the best beginner telescopes for those new to astronomy.
The Odyssey is essentially a mid-range option in the smart telescope market. Marseille, France-based Unistellar has been selling the Unistellar eVscope 2 and Unistellar eVscope eQuinox 2 for a few years but is now expanding its range.
