New Delhi, On the occasion of World Environment Day, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched 18 Namo Oxygen Parks from the Maidangarhi area in South Delhi on Friday.
The launch aims to strengthen urban greening, improve air quality, and promote community-led environmental stewardship in Delhi.
During the event, the Union minister and the chief minister also planted saplings.
In a statement, Gupta said, "This year, the Delhi government presented a green budget in which 21 per cent of the budget has been marked for green projects. The government has a target to plant 15 lakh plants this year."
