NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene has confirmed that Rohit Sharma missed the IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants after sustaining a knee injury during practice, leaving fans and the team sweating over the star opener’s fitness.
"Rohit got a hit on his knee just in the IT band and he tried to bat yesterday, couldn't put any weight on it," Jayawardene revealed during the post-match press conference. "So again he came and did a fitness test early today to try and it was discomfort for him to bat, put weight on that."
