Comedy, cabaret, circus acts and more will return to London this summer for the latest edition of Underbelly Festival.
Spread across two sites — at Cavendish Square in the West End from April 28 to July 31, and in Earl’s Court from May 5 to July 16 — the festival has now unveiled the first names for its 2022 programme.
Sindhu Vee, Phil Wang, Catherine Bohart and Nabil Abdulrashid are among the stand-ups taking to the stage every Friday night from May to July at Cavendish Square, as part of the London Comedy Allstars line-up.
Cabaret hit La Clique will take residence inside the festival’s Spiegeltent, just off Oxford Circus, while Circus Abyssinia — the high-energy show inspired by Ethiopian Olympian Derartu Tulu — will land in Earl’s Court.
Elsewhere, the musical parody Unfortunate will make its London premiere after a sell-out run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, while drag variety favourite YUMMY is also set for a series of performances.
A selection of outdoor bars and street food vendors will also be on hand, with further acts due to join the line-up soon.
Tickets are on sale now, with each event being separately ticketed. Head to underbellyfestival.com for more information.
Underbelly Festival first arrived in London back in 2009, hosted at the Southbank Centre.
