Well, it looks like we finally got something resembling an answer from Sir Keir Starmer – although, in true Starmer style, it left most of us scratching our heads even more. After the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the legal definition of a woman, all eyes turned to the Prime Minister to see if he could manage a straight answer for once.
You might remember it was back in 2022 when Keir, on a radio show, stumbled over the simple question of whether a woman could have a penis. Despite his much-vaunted barrister skills – something we’re constantly reminded about – clarity has never been his strong suit. At one point, he even managed to tell a newspaper that “a woman is a female adult, and in addition to that, trans women are women.” Make of that what you will.
