A Welsh school was among hundreds across the UK forced to close its gates during Europe’s latest record-breaking heatwave, as temperatures in the country reached an unprecedented 35.9 degrees Celsius (96.6 Fahrenheit).

Mark Morris, a teacher at the institution, stated that holding design and technology classes would have been impossible under such conditions.
