UN says Iran nuclear pledge needs ‘very strong’ verification

TEHRAN - Iran’s pledge not to build a nuclear weapon will need “very strong” verification, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Friday.

Rafael Grossi made the comment as the United States and the Islamic republic embark on negotiations for a permanent settlement to end their war.
