UN General Assembly adopts resolution on need for just, lasting peace in Ukraine; India abstains

UNITED NATIONS: India on Thursday abstained from voting on a UN General Assembly resolution titled "Principles of the Charter of the United Nations underlying a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine".

The resolution received 141 votes in favor and seven against, while 32 countries, including India, abstained.

The resolution emphasized the need to reach a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter.
