Ukrainians remember those lost in ‘cruel’ war at Independence Day event

Ukrainians gathered in Edinburgh for a special ceremony to mark the country’s Independence Day and remember those who have fallen in the “cruel” war with Russia.

The Ukrainian consul general in Edinburgh also welcomed Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s visit to Kyiv, saying it was a “good sign” of the UK’s ongoing support.
