Millions of Ukrainian civilians have fled the country after Vladimir Putin's forces invaded over a week ago.
However others have chosen to stay put - either to fight back against Russian troops or to help others who cannot leave by providing aid and medical support.
One brave citizen has been hailed as a hero after reportedly bringing down a hovering drone with a jar of canned tomatoes and plums, The Mirror reports.
