Amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine's Donbas region, a group of 2,000 Ukrainian conscripts and veterans are currently undergoing intensive training in the muddy fields of France's eastern Marne region. This initiative, funded by the European Union, aims to prepare Ukrainian forces for the front lines in the face of escalating tensions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
The training program, designed to simulate the conditions faced by Ukrainian forces back home, includes the use of advanced military equipment provided by France. This equipment ranges from armored vehicles for troop movements and reconnaissance to Caesar howitzers, anti-tank missile units, surface-to-air missiles, and battlefield radars.
