A Ukrainian cross-country skier has been provisionally suspended from competition after testing positive for three separate banned substances at the Winter Olympics.
The results come from an in-competition test sample collected from Valentyna Kaminska, 34, on February 10 in China.
A World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in Beijing reported on Tuesday that the sample contained an anabolic androgenic steroid and two separate types of stimulant.
A statement from the International Testing Agency on Wednesday announced the news.
"The International Testing Agency (ITA) reports that a sample collected from cross-country skier Valentyna Kaminska has returned an adverse analytical finding", the statement read.
The statement adds: "The athlete has been informed of the case and has been provisionally suspended until the resolution of the matter in line with the World Anti-Doping Code and the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
"This means that the athlete is prevented from competing, training, coaching, or participating in any activity, during the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
"The athlete has the right to challenge the imposition of the provisional suspension before the Court of Arbitration for Sport – Anti-Doping Division (CAS ADD).
"The athlete also has the right to request the analysis of the B-sample."
The ITA also added that there would be no further comment from the body on Kaminska's individual case until it has been resolved.
The Ukrainian has already competed at the Games, finishing 18th as part of her country's team in the 4x5km relay, 70th in the sprint free and 79th in the women's 10km classic.
This positive drug test is the latest doping shame to rock the Beijing Games, in the wake of two other athletes caught up in similar scandals.
Iranian athlete Hossein Saveh Shemshaki was suspended last week after an out-of-competition test on February 7 found an anabolic steroid in his sample.
But the most high profile case has been that of Kamila Valieva, the 15-year-old figure skating sensation who tested positive for a banned substance last week.
She was part of the Russian Olympic Committee team which had secured gold before her positive test, produced in December, came to light, and is on course for another gold in the individual free skate.
Valieva has been cleared to continue competing at the Winter Olympics after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that the fact she is under 16 and that her test result took so long to be released were "exceptional circumstances".
The case is still being investigated by authorities, while Valieva's mother Alsu has claimed she could have ingested the Trimetazidine by drinking from her grandfather's glass, as he has an artificial heart and is prescribed the medication.
