Ukrainian refugee living in Glasgow returned to war zone due to long GP wait times in Scotland

A Ukrainian refugee who had been living in Glasgow returned to her war torn country for medical treatment because the wait to see a GP in Scotland was so long.

Maria's case was raised today at First Minister's Questions, with Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton asking Nicola Sturgeon if she was 'embarrassed' by the woman's decision.

He said: "Maria is 22 years old. She is a Ukrainian refugee who has been living in Scotland since the summer.
