Ukraine: Olia Hercules and Dima Deinega to host dinner at London Shell Co.

The Ukrainian activist and chef Olia Hercules is continuing her fundraising efforts with a dinner at London Shell Co.

Hercules is also teaming up with Dima Deinega, of Dima’s Vodka, to celebrate the best of Ukrainian food and culture, raising money for the war effort all the while.

The menu, cooked by Hercules and London Shell Co head chef Fede Pollame, will begin with oysters. After these will come dishes such as beetroot cured salmon with watermelon radish, crab manti dumplings, and a sharing plate of chicken with sunflower seed bread, cabbage, and puy lentils.

Deinega has put together a vodka-based drinks pairing, including cocktails and plenty of shots.

The event is being put on to raise funds for the Legacy of War Foundation, which works to support civilians affected by conflict.

Leah and Harry Lobek, who founded London Shell Co in 2015, said: “We have been wanting to run this event for a long time and are just delighted to be collaborating with these brilliant creatives from our industry.

“They have made a life’s work of sharing Ukrainian food and drink with the world, and since war broke out in Ukraine, have both worked tirelessly to raise awareness and money for the people who desperately need it. It will be an honour to have them on board.”
