Ukraine has reportedly fired more than 40 drones into Russia's bordering Rostov region, marking one of the largest air attacks in the ongoing conflict. The assault, which targeted the Morozovsky district over 100 kilometers from the border, resulted in the interception and destruction of 44 drones by Russian defense forces. The attack caused damage to a power substation in the area, according to Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev.
While the exact target of the attack remains unclear, reports suggest that there is a military airfield near the town of Morozovsk. In addition to the drones intercepted in the Morozovsky district, nine more drones were reportedly taken down over Russia's border regions of Kursk, Belgorod, Krasnodar, and the nearby Saratov region.
