UK weather: Wind and rain to batter Brits in stormy deluge after snow blast swept nation

Britain's turbulent weather is set to continue with wind and rain to batter the country this week.

Following snow and freezing temperatures at the start of the month, conditions have got milder in recent weeks but that short respite is set to come to an end as the weather turns once again on Tuesday.

There were two flood warnings and 15 flood alerts in place by the Environment Agency across England on Monday as rain hit Britain despite temperatures reaching at least double figures.
