UK weather: Temperatures set to plunge to -15 overnight as travellers face disruption

Thousands have been left mopping up after Storm Larisa unleashed blizzards, heavy rain and gales.

The Environment Agency posted over 50 flood alerts today, with roads closed in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

Temperatures are set to fall to -15C in northern Scotland on Friday night, but forecasters say the heaviest snow is now over.
