Brits could bask in 25C temperatures this week after a warm bank holiday weekend allowed people to get out and enjoy the sun with their family and friends.
New maps show that parts of the country - especially southern and southwestern England, as well as south Wales - will continue to have pleasant weather conditions as we head into June.
The rest of the country will also experience warm weather, with temperatures remaining around 20C, except for northern parts of Scotland, where weather charts show the mercury struggling to get above 14C.
Jim Dale from British Weather Service said that this coming week, the country will see the warmest temperatures of the year so far.
He told the Express: "From Tuesday onwards, there might be a 24 or a 25 down in the south, in the southwest and into south Wales - that type of area, that's entirely possible.
"I would encompass it all by saying it continues right into June - definitely into the first few days of June.
"It's very pleasant, very British. If you asked someone what is the perfect spring weather, this is it."
Mr Dale added that the vast majority of the UK will have blue skies - but the breeze will pick up especially along the east coast, which will be hit by the onshore colder air from the North Sea.
He said that those looking for the best temperatures and the best sunshine should head west.
But the expert added that anyone who wants to head out and enjoy the sun should be mindful as they risk getting sunburnt.
He explained that UV levels are high and there is also an increased risk for hayfever sufferers as grass pollen levels are also going to start to go up.
The Met Office's long-range forecast for the first 10 days of June says the weather will be cloudy in the far northeast and near some eastern coasts, with low cloud and the odd spot of drizzle.
The rest of the country will be generally dry with sunny spells and light winds at times.
The Met Office added that temperatures will be "very warm in sheltered west and northwest, but still rather cool on eastern windward coasts."
The forecast also says: "Temperatures will likely be above average for most, but locally cool near coasts, especially in the east."

A fine day ahead, with plenty of warm hazy sunshine across the country. However, some central and eastern parts of the UK could see more cloud at times and the breeze will pick up making it feel chillier than Saturday.
Tonight:
A fine end to the weekend. Dry overnight, with clear spells. Temperatures will fall under the clearest skies, with perhaps a touch of grass frost forming across northeast Scotland.
Monday:
Dry, with the best of the sunshine towards the west. Eastern areas will see thicker cloud at times and with a keen easterly breeze it could feel quite chilly here.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Staying dry and settled, with sunny spells. Low cloud will affect eastern parts at times. Warm during the day away from windward coasts. Chilly at night, especially in the north.
