Londoners brace for a deep freeze as one of the coldest April nights since 1949 could sweep the capital.
Temperatures could drop as low as -3C ahead of a freezing weekend that will see the country battered by Arctic winds.
This comes after the last few days have seen snow falling across parts of Britain.
