Brits face heavy rain and flooding for the start of Wednesday along with temperatures dropping to -4C in Scotland.
It has been a wet month and with the showers continuing it means that there is a continued danger of flooding around much of the country.
Shoreham in southern England and Inverbervie in Scotland have provisionally had their wettest Novembers on record with 176.4mm and 133mm, respectively, so far.
The Met Office has yellow warnings for rain and wind for the start of Wednesday affecting Northern Ireland and the south west of England.
In Northern Ireland the rain warning runs until 10am with the risk of flooding and disruption to travel. Similarly for the south west of England there is the potential of travel problems caused by wind and rain with the warning in place until 8am.
The Environment Agency in England has three flood warnings in place for the Midlands as well as 88 alerts across the country.
There is also a flood warning and two alerts for north east Scotland and three alerts for central Wales.
It will be a cold start to Wednesday with temperatures possibly dropping to -4C in Scotland.
Met Office forecaster Aidan McGivern said: “A fairly widespread frost here where we avoid the patchy cloud which will be floating around, temperatures dipping below freezing in some sheltered spots, - 2C to -4C are possible for north east Scotland but further west it is a milder start to the day but a wetter one.”
The rain is expected to move up from the south west of England during the day with showers a possibility in all areas.
BBC forecaster Susan Powell said around two inches of rain is likely to fall over Wednesday and Thursday around the country.
She said: “Yet another day of lively weather to come across the UK this Wednesday. We start the day with a band of rain sweeping its way in from the south west, it should quickly move through but then as the sun comes out anticipate some lively showers as well."
She continued: "It will stay windy throughout the day, gales possible around ... Irish Sea coasts and those winds are going to bring in some pretty punchy showers and carry them a far way east.
"So we should see some showers just about anywhere they are likely to be most frequent though in the west. Temperature-wise a shade up on those we saw at the start of the week around average values."
