Flood warnings have been issued with heavy rain and strong winds forecast for parts of the UK.
As autumn sets in, the Met Office has issued a flood warning in the north of England and some forecasts predict snow in the week ahead.
Speaking in the Met Office 10 Day Trend, Alex Deakin said: “What we look to be left with through next week is a similar pattern to what we’ve got now, with low pressure systems mostly to the north and areas of high pressure to the south and a reasonably active jet stream pushing everything along.”
The flood warning has been issued on Sunday for Keswick Campsite in the Lake District.
"River and lake levels remain high following a response to heavy rain yesterday," the warning reads. "River levels have receded overnight and will continue to fall during today."
The warning adds that while levels are receding slowly, overall they "remain high and will continue to remain high during today and overnight".
More rain is forecast for the area on Sunday, which will only make matters worse. "We continue to monitor levels closely and are clearing debris from weed screens in the area," the warning continues. "Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water."
Elsewhere across the UK, the forecast is mixed. Across the south and east of the country things are looking much brighter.
In central and eastern areas, however, we "should hold on to hazy some sunshine," BBC meterologist Helen Willetts says, with highs of 17 or 18 degrees and "feeling quite pleasant".
The weather front will move in on Monday morning, bringing "wet and breezy weather" in southern and eastern areas, followed by showers.
Into Tuesday, the wind will ease away with temperatures falling away and a possible "touch of frost".
By Wednesday, the next weather front will arrive "to bring rain, particularly across the northern and western half of the UK".
More low pressure is due to move in later in the week, "with a lot of wind and rain associated with it".
