Flood warnings were issued on Monday morning, with a further 26 flood alerts, following another night of thunderstorms.
Flooding is expected in two parts of the UK; both of which are west of Birmingham, around Wolverhampton.
Locals were urged to move their family and pets to safety, and to park vehicles on higher ground wherever available.
Anybody with flood barriers or protection should consider using them straight away, the Environment Agency warned.
A further 26 areas were warned that flooding was possible; mainly in the Midlands.
However, areas surrounding Bournemouth, Guildford, Gloucester, Peterborough, and Chesterfield were all included in flood alerts.
The flood warnings came after a weekend of heavy rainfall across the UK - particularly in England.
The Met Office issued yellow thunderstorm warnings for most of England and part of Wales on Saturday and Sunday.
The majority of the downpour hit the Midlands at about 9am on Sunday, according to WXCharts.
But the rain gradually moved north throughout the day, heading up toward Scotland by 9pm.
Despite the flood warnings, the Met Office forecasted the showers to gradually disperse on Monday.
While there might be outbursts of rain - particularly in central and eastern England - there should be plenty of sunshine for most.
The temperature is likely to remain mild compared with previous years, although it might get breezy through the day, and toward the end of the week.
