Britain's current weather conditions are creating a perfect storm for a significant rise in mosquitoes, an expert has warned.
Dr Mojca Kristan, an assistant professor in medical entomology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), cautioned that species capable of transmitting severe illnesses like dengue fever and Zika could become established in the UK within years, driven by climate change.
