The UK is expected to see warmer temperatures this week with some areas of Britain expected to be hotter than Rome. The latest forecasts show that temperatures earlier in the week will start off at around 16C before climbing up to 18C on Wednesday and remaining warm all week, reports SomersetLive.
The mercury will be well above 11C average March highs, and warmer than 15C Rome and Madrid - with the south west seeing temperatures of 17C or 18C. The Met Office forecasts dry skies in the south on Monday and Tuesday, and sunshine and clear skies for most parts after Wednesday's showers.
Chilly air could return later in the weekend, but the Met Office said more warm weather is ahead in the run-up to Easter. It's good news for those wanting to get out and about in Bristol this week with wall-to-wall sunshine predicted for the end of the week.

Ex-BBC and Met Office forecaster John Hammond of weather trending told the Mirror Online: “Spring will be in the air, with a gentle breeze from the warming continent and temperatures rising through the teens. Wet weather will give way to sunshine, with a drier and warmer trend through mid-March.”
While BBC forecaster Tomasz Schafernaker said: “17°C or 18°C is expected in the south-west.”

Monday
Scattered, locally heavy showers near the south coast at first on Monday will become a little more widespread during the morning and will continue throughout the afternoon. Feeling pleasant in any sunshine between the showers with only light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Evening showers will soon die away, although it could remain rather cloudy for a time. Some clear spells and fog patches developing later in the night and becoming rather chilly. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Tuesday
Fog patches will clear on Tuesday morning leaving a fine and dry day with plenty of hazy sunshine. With only light winds it will become a little warmer than Monday. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Unsettled on Wednesday, with outbreaks of rain only clearing late in the day. Mainly sunny on Thursday and Friday, but a keen easterly breeze by the end of the week.
