Jet2 have announced that they will be restarting their European cities programme following the easing of travel restrictions.
The news comes as Portugal just updated their travel rules yesterday (February 3) stating that those entering the country will no longer need to "present proof of a negative result for those who present a covid digital certificate of the EU in any of its forms or other proof of vaccination that has been recognised."
The UK’s leading tour operator will fly to popular destinations including the likes of Rome, Krakow, and Prague - just to name a few.
Starting from Friday (February 11 2022), Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will fly to major city break destinations in Europe from Glasgow Airport.
The return is said to come at the perfect time following an increase in demand amid the travel sector re-opening and relaxing their covid rules.
In addition to flights re-starting next week, more will become available next month on March 3 where people can fly to Prague or Rome from the city centre airport.
Customers can choose from a flight-only option with Jet2.com or an ATOL protected package holiday with Jet2CityBreaks available for as little as £60 per person booking deposit.
Package options with Jet2CityBreaks include flights with Jet2.com where travellers can take with them 22kg hold luggage, 10kg hand luggage as well as being able to transfer to and from the airport - all for one price.
In addition, they will also be able to have a wide range of hotels to chose from ranging from two to five stars that are located centrally to where they need to be.
In response to an increase in demand, Jet2CityBreaks is offering customers £50 off per person on all city break packages booked through Jet2CityBreaks meaning holidaymakers can save big and enjoy a city break they deserve.
TripAdvisor's 'Best UK Airline', Jet2.com, are also offering 10% off flights.
Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks will restart flights and city breaks to major city break destinations from Glasgow Airport on the following dates:
- February 11: Flights and city breaks to Krakow offering twice weekly (Monday and Friday) services
- February 11: Twice weekly services (Monday and Friday) to Rome resume
- March 3: Two weekly Thursday and Sunday services to Prague
