UK travel companies stop trading during summer holidays – what we know

  • UK travel companies Frasers Travel Ltd and Golf Villa Rentals Ltd have both ceased trading, putting summer holiday packages at risk of cancellation.
  • Ayrshire -based Frasers Travel Ltd, which offered long and short-haul package holidays, has closed after 40 years of trading.
  • Abta has advised Frasers Travel customers with flight-inclusive bookings to contact their ATOL-named tour operator to ensure their trips proceed as planned.
  • Golf Villa Rentals Ltd customers have been instructed to make financial failure insurance claims via the Evolution Insurance Company Ltd website.
  • The latest closures follow the recent collapse of Norwich -based Ski Yodl Ltd, which cancelled all holiday bookings after entering liquidation earlier this month.
