UK holidaymakers could be fined £650 for going to the toilet in the Spanish sea.
The council of Vigo has introduced a law that said anyone found urinating "in the sea or on the beach" would be forced to pay a financial penalty. The rule is part of a drive to clean up beaches in the Galician city.
The updated beach regulations for the summer season state that “physiological evacuations in the sea or on the beach” will go against "hygiene and sanitary regulations". Anyone caught in the act will face a fine a fine of 750 euros.

According to the Telegraph, town officials are planning to install publish toilets on beaches during the busy season to accommodate demand. Beachgoers can also be penalised for using soap in the water, throwing waste on the sand or using fire hazards on the beach.
However, one Twitter user questioned how practical it would be for authorities to implement the new rules. Pedro L Sierra. said: "How easy it is to issue prohibitions and how difficult to enforce them."
