The family, who live in Belfast, were on holiday at the hotel, a short drive from the Love Island villa close to Sant Llorenc des Cardassar.
The Belfast Telegraph reported that Corey was a scout and avid Rangers fan.
They are now fundraising to bring Corey's body home to Belfast.
The alarm was sounded at around 5.30pm yesterday.
Local reports said his parents lost sight of him for a few minutes before he was spotted floating face-down in the pool.
Efforts to revive him at the scene proved unsuccessful. The Majorca Daily Bulletin reported that lifeguards performed basic CPR for almost 30 minutes.
Island newspapers say the youngster was from Northern Ireland. Police could not be immediately reached this morning for comment.
