The UK's only Green MP Caroline Lucas has announced she is standing down at the next general election - likely to be in 2024.
The MP for Brighton Pavillion since 2010 and former Green leader said in a letter to her constituents that the "threats to our precious planet" had become "ever more urgent".
But she said her role in the Commons meant she had "struggled to spend the time I want on these accelerating crises".
