The UK will now be home to its first ever national museum dedicated to LGBT+ people and their history.
Queer Britain announced today that its first physical museum will be in London, with doors opening to the public from Spring this year. The museum will be completely free to visitors and has promised to be completely accessible, fitted with lifts and ramps.
Queer Britain is the charity behind the historic opening, having worked tirelessly to secure the physical space which aims to celebrate LGBT+ people, stories and ideas. According to the charity's website, the new space will be an "essential" place for all regardless of people's identities and sexuality.
