Britain has faced extreme weather across 2022 and the National Trust fears it may become the "new normal".
The record-breaking year started with vicious storms followed by a severe drought in some parts of the nation as the sun scorched and temperatures hit new highs in the summer. This winter we have seen snow and ice disrupt England, Scotland and Wales just days before Christmas.
In its annual review conservation charity, The National Trust, found that this year’s weather had been hugely challenging for nature. They said this year's weather is a “stark illustration” of what will be typical UK weather without more action on climate change, reported The Mirror.
