Andy Burnham has refused to rule out further tax rises in his October Budget, in his first Prime Minister’s Questions, as Kemi Badenoch accused him of being a “people-pleaser”.
The Tory leader said the markets were “clearly worried that we now have a spendthrift prime minister”, and pushed Mr Burnham on his intentions to hike taxes.
