A man who sexually assaulted two women on a crowded Edinburgh-bound train was jailed for nine months after pleading guilty to both attacks. Jamie Muir, 33, from Dunfermline in Fife, carried out the assaults on 16 November 2025 while the train was packed with passengers travelling to watch a rugby match between Scotland and Argentina at Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh.
According to Sky News, Muir boarded the service at Inverkeithing and positioned himself behind two women. Within minutes of the train leaving the station he began assaulting both victims while using the crowd around him to hide what he was doing.
