A dad from the UK on holiday with his wife and daughter in the Caribbean has died in a snorkelling incident. The man arrived on St Kitts on Monday morning aboard a cruise ship, local press on the island reports.
It's understood he was part of a 14-day group trip between Barbados and Southampton and took a group excursion with his family. The group had been visiting Peninsular Cove at the island when he got into trouble, local police said.
Other tourists on the trip were seen pulling the man from the water and giving CPR in a bid to revive him. The man was pronounced dead by the island's District Medical Officer.
A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out on the man to confirm his cause of death.
