UK in emergency talks with EU over diesel supplies after Trump threat

The UK joined crisis talks with Brussels to discuss emergency diesel stocks after Donald Trump threatened a ban on US exports.

Energy minister Martin McCluskey represented the UK in a call with Ireland, the EU Commission, France and Italy on Thursday, discussing the possible need to release fuel stocks as prices rocket.
