A UK Eurovision entry is treating fans of the Song Contest to a one-night-only city performance.
SCOOCH - the country’s 2007 entry consisting of Natalie Powers, Caroline Barnes, David Ducasse and Russ Spencer - is reuniting for the first time in six years to perform in Liverpool come Eurovision week.
The British pop group finished joint 22nd out of 24 entries after receiving 19 points in the final in Helsinki, Finland, with their song Flying The Flag (For You).

The group told the ECHO: “It’s super exciting to be back. What better opportunity to get the band back together and join the celebrations in the city to be in this year. We can’t wait.
“We’ve performed many times in Liverpool over the years and have always had the warmest of welcomes. It’s a lively, vibrant and passionate city synonymous with musical greatness. It’s great to think that for the first time in 25 years, we are hosting the world's biggest music event in the city, which is the undisputed capital of pop music.
“Flying the Flag is the Eurovision equivalent of having a hit Christmas song for us - every year we get to talk about the song, our experience in the competition. Back in 2007, the UK song was chosen by the public and 16 years on it blows us away that people still hold the song in the heart. It’s always lovely to read the messages we get sent, see people dress up and be remembered with a smile.”
SCOOCH said it would be “lovely” for the UK’s Mae Muller to do well this year but believe Sweden’s entry, Loreen - who won the competition in 2012 with Euphoria - is “one to watch”.

The group added: “You have to enjoy every moment of the experience. It’s a mighty platform to perform on and you’re joining an incredible legacy.
“We don’t regret a single thing. Not one thing. We came home to a top-five single. We began our career as a pop act where you go into a studio and use the best take for the cut, so to go from that to a one-off live vocal performance, with the world's eyes on you was a different approach for us that we loved.
“It was brilliantly staged by the creative legend that is Paul Domaine, with iconic costumes designed by Strictly Come Dancing's Sue Judd. We all wanted to do something that would stand out and be remembered, and the fact that until last year we were the biggest-selling UK song after Katrina and the Waves says it all.”
The group will be performing between 10 pm and 2 am on Thursday, May 11 at Blundells Supper Club, Baltic Triangle. Tickets can be bought online.
