The Met Office has issued a red “danger to life” weather warning as Storm Goretti smashes into the UK packing 100mph winds and triggering heavy snow.
The rare alert was issued for Cornwall from 4pm to 11pm on Thursday and warns of life-threatening flying debris, closed roads and railways causing travel chaos and very large waves posing a threat to seaside homes.
