UK pledges £225million support for Ukraine as Zelensky admits his forces can't defeat Russia on battleground

The UK has pledged a new £225million package of support for Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelensky warned his forces were unable to drive Russian troops out of his country.

On a trip to Kyiv, Defence Secretary John Healey said that the UK will “step up” on international leadership on Ukraine in 2025, after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer urged allies to maintain their support.
