There were ugly scenes as a melee broke out between the Cork and Kilkenny players during Sunday's Allianz League semi-final at Nowlan Park.
The incident occurred in the 45th minute shortly after Billy Drennan's penalty had put Kilkenny six points in front.
The game was delayed for around five minutes before referee John Keenan showed two yellow cards to Kilkenny, two yellow cards to Cork and sent off Cork defender Eoin Downey.
While the fracas began innocuously enough, things heated up as more and more players got involved.
In the midst of the chaos, one Cork player was pushed into the fence separating fans from the pitch.
A Kilkenny player also appeared to be struck in the head with a hurl during the melee.
Reduced to 14-men, Cork struggled as Kilkenny ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-22 to 0-22.
Eoin Downey will miss Cork's first Munster Championship match as a result of his red card.
