UFC star Paddy Pimblett picks two actors he'd want to play him in a film of his life

UFC star Paddy Pimblett would pick James Buckley and Owen Wilson to portray him in a film about his life.

Talks of actors playing fighters in a movie about their own lives came after Jared Leto expressed his desire to play Conor McGregor. The Irishman then responded to award-winning actor and musician Leto by welcoming the role and teasing the film.

Pimblett is one of the UFC's hottest prospects after winning his second fight in the promotion last weekend by submitting Kazula Vargas at UFC London. The Liverpudlian was signed to the UFC last year and knocked out Luigi Vendramini in his debut.

When asked who should play him in a film about his life, Pimblett responded: “Owen Wilson probably [or] Jay Cartwright off the Inbetweeners. Think I’d have Jay playing me at my age now, I’d have Owen Wilson playing me when I’m a bit older. We just need to find a little child version of me and we’re flying."

Buckley played fan favourite character Jay Cartwright on the UK hit series 'The Inbetweeners' whilst Wilson has appeared in several blockbuster films such as Starsky & Hutch and Wedding Crashers. Both of the actors have similar haircuts to Pimblett's.

Pimblett is known for piling on weight outside of training camps and was seen scoffing a whole pizza following his recent win at UFC London. The Liverpudlian admitted just days later he enjoyed a massive 11,000 calorie binge.

"I had a little two weeks off last time, but I'm getting back in the gym in the morning so I won't be too fat," he said. "I eat so many calories it's unbelievable, on Monday I actually gauged what I ate and I had 10,700 calories. That's without me doing a food challenge, that's just me being a fat b******."

Pimblett, who signed a seven-figure deal with Barstool Sports after his debit, was only guaranteed £9,000 for his submission win against Vargas. 'The Baddy' is hoping to receive a new contract offer from the UFC after his next fight.

"I still want another few fights first I'm not getting ahead of myself. I know I'm not ready for anyone ranked yet, especially in the lightweight division. I need to win another four fights before even thinking about getting another opponent," he continued.

"Hopefully after this next fight they want to give me a new contract but we'll see. That's the goal, more zeros on that bank balance. I wanna get another two fights in this year, maybe even three times."
