UFC signs Invicta FC flyweight champion Ketlen Souza

Invicta FC flyweight champion Ketlen Souza is headed to the UFC.

After her name was registered in the UFC fan rankings pool Tuesday (h/t UFC Roster Watch), a person with knowledge of Souza’s signing confirmed it to MMA Junkie. A debut date or opponent was not revealed.

Souza (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is 27, fighting out of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. In January, Souza won a unanimous decision over former Bellator fighter Kristina Williams to earn title gold at Invicta FC 51. The victory extended her winning streak to five, a stretch that also includes Maiju Suotama and Gisele Moreira among others.

In 13 pro wins, Souza has nine finishes including eight TKO stoppages and one submission. Prior to the two fights she had in Invicta, Souza competed solely on the Brazilian regional scene as she fought for promotions like Standout Fighting Tournament (SFT), Mr. Cage, and Future FC.
