Nate Landwehr added to his highlight reel with a wild finishing sequence of Austin Lingo.
In the second round of their main card bout at UFC on ESPN 43 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Landwehr (17-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) made it three straight wins by submitting Lingo (9-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at 4:11.
What happened right before Landwehr slapped on the rear-naked choke is what made the sequence unique. Landwehr was on the back of Lingo, landing punches. Lingo attempted to stand up, and a punch from Landwehr knocked out Lingo’s mouthpiece. A split second later, the choke was locked in and Lingo tapped out a moment later.
Landwehr called the finish a “sucker punch rear-naked choke” during his post-fight interview.

“Easy money,” Landwehr told Michael Bisping. “… I got a highlight reel like Evil Knievel, swagger like Elvis Pressley, and I’ll be damned if I ain’t handsome!”
