Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov headlined UFC 229 on Oct. 6, 2018. Still to this date, it’s the most-purchased pay-per-view in promotion history, with a reported buy rate of 2.4 million.

The fight was long-built with McGregor and Nurmagomedov engaged in one of the most vicious and ruthless rivalries in promotion history.
